While I agree with you, I believe there was an article that said that there was like 62% of dialup users have no plans on switching. I would have to also agree that they will probably have to lower their price down to the $9.95 mark unless they offer other services that they know people will be willing to pay the extra $10 a month for.

Wow. Are they seriously trying to refocus on dial-up? Dial up should been dead along time ago. Every one would rather have a high speed connection then a dial up connection. Also, I bet alot of people can beat there prices for dial up. Im only paying $9.99 with juno.

I'd be willing to wager a good portion of those users are elderly as well, and wouldn't know any better, or even care to get faster internet. See: Slowskis.

The old adage "why fix something that ain't broke" may come into play. Ther are alot of people that flat out don't know what they're missing. Theres also a significant number of people that are just out of reach for broadband. So they just keep it simple.

IT also has to do with a good number of people who truly do not have any other choices other than dialup.
