@comcast.net

here is my situation

For me, this is a big deal.
where i currently go to college/live i have just enough service to send a text message. i have around 1 bar, to just enough to say i have service.
typically i would like to know if the person i am trying to send a text to is getting it. might sound like nothing, but since i am never really 100% sure the text got sent, i would like to know.

as for prices. its not that big of a deal...(well literally and figureatively)

seriously. my family plan cost about 100$ a month. it consists of the following:
1600 mins. shared
unlimited texts shared
5 phone lines (inital line is 40 i beleive and 10$ extra per line so thats 80)
and for my line i got the extended data plan which basically lets me go on the internet use the navigation system, receive emails, etc... for 15$

the texting is unlimited with the service package, and i pay a little extra to have it put on all the lines which is where the extra 5$ comes from.

so im getting texting for like 20$ roughly.

and i personally send 10000 text a month. no lie (since i cant call) and my brothers both text as well. so monthly we send combined about 12500 texts or so. thats like .0016 cents a text. (if i did my math right anyways haha)

and that guy who is saying it would take 6.7billion text to send for a penny... thats to send a size per penny. i couldnt care less how many bytes i use. i send one word texts i dont really care. because its only 20$ a month.

if these prices are really that painful to your monthy budget, perhaps you shouldnt have a cell phone? im a full time student (at penn state, so not cheap), and i have 2 jobs, and a 3rd in the summer. i manage my money well enough to pay the 100$ a month, as well insurence on my car (which is paid of so i dont have to worry about that), true i dont have a house, but i have an appartment, so i have to pay bills here too.
