gtoken join:2003-12-28 Fort Smith, AR | What about current contracts? Come January 2009 I will still have 6 months left on my 18 month at&t/DishNetwork contract. Will the termination have any effect on my contract?
I have been with Dish for many years and love their programming, equipment, and service. I don't know how DirecTV could be that much better.
I do absolutely HATE what was formerly SBC (now at&t) and would like to get away from them as much as possible. Their customer service and integrity to honor their word must be the worst in history.
Just for the record, I am very happy with my at&t(Cingular) wireless service. |

| You will more than likely be 'grandfathered' in and still pay the same rate you are paying now as long as you do not change any programming. You will also have to finish out your contract with Dish.
When/if you change your programming, your rate will probably change. Some companies will keep your grandfathered plans until you change your programming. |

| reply to gtoken I can answer this one, currently in the exiting contract (or the current one before DirecTV gets the pie) it was stipulated in the contract that AT&T/Dish Network contracts remain till they expire. After that Dish Network can do as they wish. If you like the service you can keep it, it will just be Dish Network you will contact. |
