Re: and in NJ...

I had AT&T for 10 years here in Los Angeles and towards the end, after they purchased the old AT&T Wireless, the coverage started to really suck. The FCC, to agree to the purchase, made AT&T sell many towers to T-Mobile. So, AT&T got much worse and T-Mobile got a lot better for a lot less money. Sure, I would like an iPhone, but to use it with AT&T would be like throwing money away. Especially the new 3G version, since in LA, 3G coverage sucks! I purchased an AT&T 3G phone, and every time I lost 3G coverage and would switch back to EDGE, the call would drop. I returned the phone and switched to T-Mobile and have much better coverage. When Verizon gets the iPhone, I may switch to them for I bet it will work great. However, I'll have to be prepared to shell out the bucks, for I bet the phone and plans will be expensive.

Give it time, why would a company want to limit their exposure to new customers by sticking with one carrier only?
