| [iO] Black bars on top and bottom?
Just got a Samsung 40" LCD series 3 and connected my HD DVR iO box and have black bars at top and bottom. I find this rather odd since this a 16:9 ratio screen. I am using the red/green/blue cables as I did not get an HDMI cable yet. Could this be the problem? I did run through the HD setup wizard on the iO box but same results. TV is here...

1 edit | Voom channels to test. 785 and 786. I switched to HDMI and same results. 
I would think SD channels would have black bars on the sides, not the top and bottome. |

try this, its how mine is set:
hit settings twice, go to set: picture format and set it to pass through. |

change the format on the samsung remote, if this does not work then do the IO HDTV setup again, if all fails then call cablvision |
