| P330W LAN Works OK but No Internet Connection
Suddenly my network cannot connect to the Internet through my P330W. All machines see each other fine on the network. I replaced it with a different (wired) router and all is fine so ISP connection is OK. When I diagnose connectivity the Winsock diagnostic returns: "Error attmpting to validate the Winsock base providers: 2 error Not all base service provider entries could be found in the winsock catalog. A reset is needed." And the HTTP diagnostic says it cannot make HTTP, HTTPS, or FTP connection. I tried multiple resets, firmware updates,etc.
Any help is appreciated

Putnam, CT | Either return it to the seller for replacement (if new) or call ZyXel and get it swapped out if they can't help you fix it over the phone. Should be under warranty?

Reloaded the previous firmware (1.8) and reset...then it worked..go figure

My P-330W will not work with the 1.8 version
I have to use version 1.90 which has a serious bug in it to use my P-330W |

| OK, ZyXEL is playing games with the Firmware for the P-330W and has removed version V1.90 again.
Since ZyXEL will not fix the firmware problem and version 1.8 will not work with Cablevision, I have bought another brand of wireless router.
I will not call ZyXEL to tell them of the same problem which I told then a year ago and they never addressed with this firmware for this router.
I will not buy ZyXEL products again and I am disappointed with the failure of them to addresses firmware issues.
Buyers are NOT beta testers and they need improve QA because they fail to address firmware issues when they happen.
I purchased an "N" router from D-LINK (DIR-615) and it worked great right out of the box and no firmware issues. |
