| [general] WB equipement cross compatible with Hughes??
My mom currently has WB, but has had Hughes in the past and still has their old one-way dish/LNB rig. WB installed a new dish & etc when she switched.
So, things aren't so good at WB and going back to Hughes is a consideration (cell service is lousy where they live, so that's out). Can any parts of the WB rig be re-used with Hughes? I'd like to consider buying used Hughes equipment to save some $$. |

| reply to DougM Earth Signal's response should be adequate, but knowing how the internet works it can't hurt to have some reinforcement. Everything that counts much (Dish, arm, LNB, BUC, feedhorn, modem) are completely different and non-compatible in the two systems.

@rr.com | reply to DougM Bummer, thanks for the info. She'll probably stay on WB for a while longer. DSL supposedly expected in her area in 2 years but I'll believe it when I see it... |
