Just checked my latest bill. A month or so ago VZ told me that my upld/dwnld speeds were being increased. After review of my bill, my new monthly charges were 59.99, up $20/mo from the previous $39.99. That's a $240.00 annual increase with no verbal or written notice.

| Out of curiosity, what speeds are you at now? Your charges don't seem to match any of the current pricing points of all the plans (at least the generic ones on their site). By any chance did a one-year (or two...) plan expire simultaneous with this (perhaps what triggered the speed change), or any other change? Just curious as to see if there's anything else to watch out for, or if it was only the speed (my 15/2 went up to 20/5 but there was no price change). The closest pricing that I found was one of the month-to-month pricing plans which suggests a yearly plan ending. |

| reply to dogzrus I just got off the phone with Verizon since I received my latest bill came in today. It was $25 more than it's supposed to be. Their answer was that I cannot have more than one promotion besides the Triple Play Bundle discount since they just changed the rules in their billing department.
At first they still refused to add the credit that I deserve but after mentioning that a manager was the one who applied the credit (no lie there but I won't go into details) everything is back in order..for now. |

| reply to dogzrus I don't think they can change prices while in contract. If you signed a two year agreement I believe they need to honor those prices until the agreement expires. I would have to read the contract again but am almost sure that the plan prices can't change save any regulatory fees and such. |
