| [game] NO Theme Game
I remember last night, though I wish I didn't. I was in Nick's place, talking to guy who said he was an angel. There was also this horsefaced guy named Catsnak who seemed to have a problem with people thinking he was a girl. The shouting had quieted down and that was when Mr. Inforcer interupted us. Yeah, I owed him money, but he could have been nicer about it. Said he was going to beat 7 different types of crap out of me.
That was when I should have kept my big mouth shut. But instead I said, "I'd like to see you try, I am on a Liquid Diet!"
Fortunately when I came to, I was told that I must have swallowed some rare coins as a kid, and Mr. Inforcer said to consider us paid in full.
I am still not sure how I made it back to the office. And my buddy Jack was still pounding on my head when she walked in. Mr. Daniels is ruthless that way.
This dame was an anerexic thing with a splashy hat, that if you looked wrong looked like a skull in a top hat, and legs that had to stop somewhere, but not where I could tell from where I sat, but I am assuming the floor.
"I need to hire you!" is what I think she said as I was about to run out. I am not crazy, I don't need another paternity suit. But since she seemed not to know me, I relaxed and listened.
"My town is under attack by the Mob. I have worked hard to get it where it is, marrying the right people, making sure others left. But now I have lost control. I have you retainer right here, and my lawyer has been instructed that you not get another penny till you solve this and take it to the feds."
"Why not go to them first, Miss?"
"It's Sarah, just Sarah. Because they refused to believe me. Are you taking the case?" she said, pulling what looked like a gun from her hand bag.
"Doesn't look like I have a choice."
She lit her death stick with the lighter and said, "Here is your list of suspects. Now I need to go before ..."
She never finished that sentence. The bullet had shattered my door window, which I had just had TheRul Private Eye painted. "I hope your lawyer knows that I also charge expenses." And with that I got up and caught the bus to Broadtown.
It was a dump of a town. Makes me wonder what that dame saw in this place. I headed toward the address of the lawyer's card I found in Sarah's purse. The cop's may have needed her body, but I needed her money.
The Lawyer what a quiet guy that went by Sansri88, and for some reason didn't seem happy that I took the case. He gave me the envelope Sarah left behind with 12 names of people she considered scum, and squablled over my expenses. I finally gave in to the trip to the strip joint, but he was damn well going to pay for my bar tab, and my door window!
I am in town and it is now DAY!

Everyone has taken a beating. I have no earthly idea what to do other than hold fast and chase the losses. I suppose I could sell and invest in bonds, but the reward from that almost non existant risk is miniscule. Never the less, we shall see what happens.
I am here and am ready to catch some bad guys.
