Streaming video problems--Comcast's fault?

I use this program called Livestation to stream some news channels (completely legal, look it up )

Until this morning I was able to stream any channel they broadcast to me without trouble. All of a sudden on both of my computers the channels either refuse to connect or are lagging really badly with a lot of cuts in the video and audio.

It's not a livestation issue since I'm able to listen to the audio news channels perfectly.

Is Comcast messing with my connection here? Not to be too cynical or anything but could it be because of that "protocol agnostic" throttling?

Well, that could just mean that their audio servers are fine, but their video servers are impaired. Did you contact them?

How about posting a traceroute to help?

I've posted on their forums as well to see if everything is ok for their video servers.

Re trace route...how would I know what the IP is of their video server? Or would I just do a traceroute to their website?

I do not use their s/w so do not know -- thought perhaps they had a FQDN of the servers in your client someplace. Anyway, anything you can find will help.

Very strange. I just fired up the program again after not using it for about an hour and it's working fine.

Here's the trace to their website..I'll look for more information and see what the Livestation support team says.

According to thier help forum
"Intermittent website dropouts and 503s
Due to the hugely increased load on the web servers from apple.com, we've had some issues maintaining the state of all the servers. We're working on fixes for this right now making the platform more resilient to (what we hope) will be a continuing upward trend in traffic!

Please bear with us in these interim times and we hope you enjoy using Livestation"
This was posted yesterday, today says it's better, but not yet perfect.

I think that message is for their website itself, not the video streaming.

Again, it was working perfectly until this morning.
