2 Different iPhone models? I don't see Apple manufacturing 2 different iPhone models just so Verizon can sell the it. What I do see, is Verizon moving to GSM technology or maybe even using the iPhones release in 2010 for WiMax. To have a CDMA & GSM iPhone in the US is a move backwards and it will confuse the market place just like the times when Apple fired Jobs and Amelio started to manufacture all those Macintosh computers that made your head spin trying to decide which was right for you.

Well we all knw VZW will never use GSM. They're already on the roll with EVDO rel A. And I think they're going to go LTE for the future.

Wonder what the Storm from BlackBerry will do considering it will work (if allowed)almost anywhere. It is a full CDMA and GSM phone. Welcome to the future.

It probably wouldn't be all that hard for them to have a software or hardware switch that toggles between the two different chips. It'd do no good to have both running at the same time.
