about grounding

i'll bet that fiber cable has a steel guide wire in it to prevent it from being stretched in high winds, if it does, that provides an electrical path from the pole to the house, so it should be grounded, even if it don't have a wire, the fiber cable can get wet, and provide a path for lightning to travel to the house.. lightning is millions of volts of electricity, it has no problem traveling wet surfaces..
