Just back from vacation.
And after 2 years dumped 64bit for desktop. Running lenny 32 bit, and hey, everything works without having to worry.
It feels strange, hold me!

Here's my minimal desktop. I need a better wallpaper though. It's Gentoo with XFCE4 running on my Dell 1525. I'm still working on my conky configuration as well.

I seemed to have found my niche, I had a lot of issues with Kubuntu.

I know that desktop wallpaper.

Well not "know" as in "know" but know why you have it covered.

It is inspiring when you just can't get that script to run without errors..

I saw this picture and thought there was no way that NASA would risk two shuttles out there at the same time. Well I was wrong. Here is an article I found about why there are two there. »www.wtopnews.com/?sid=593793&nid=220 Wasn't it the movie Armageddon that launched two at the same time? They know something about the election and economy we don't?

Dear Friends,

Sadly, I have forgotten how to make a poll, but am wondering nonetheless, how many of the younger members here know what a choke does.

One would presume it is the command line version of electronic engine management, so to speak, but damn, I feel old, looking at the lever down to the right of the steering wheel.

For those genuine devotees of trivia, it was also on the right when the steering wheel was on the correct side of the motorcar.

Best,
M
