IMG 1.6 Build 06.89 Released

We received the minor (for Portland/Seattle) upgrade for the IMG overnight. (Build number was previously 06.86)

I don't have a DVR so I can't say if addresses any of the DVR related-issues with the previous 1.6 build.

From previous threads/posters:

Rumored deployment dates
10/9 – VHO5 & 6 (NY, NE)
10/16 – VHO7 & 8 (NJ, PA)
10/23 – VHO2, 10,11 (FL, IN, PA)
11/11 VHO's 01,03 (TX, CA)

Features/discussions:

»Re: release 1.6.0 build 6.86
»Some new features coming w/ IMG 1.6

(updated to add locations to VHO numbers)

Could anyone from OR now confirm if the HD streaming is working properly?

darci,

those "rumored" dates, do they apply if we haven't gotten any of the 1.6 release?

Yes. Initial deployment of 06.86 was halted due to bugs/issues found in it. Everyone is now supposed to get 06.89.

By any chance do you have the "caller ID" option? Yes, it is nice to have before someone chimes in!!!

I have no idea what VHO number DC is. But the HD streaming sucks currently.

Oh... several reasons -- need to be at work early (I have an hour+ commute), klipko challenged me to beat him to the punch... that kind of thing You won't hear from me much today as I'm in a long meeting for most if.

Maybe once this is rolled out here they will enable remote DVR. When I login to Verizon TV Central now I see a DVR (beta) option, but when I click it is says unable to process request.

Your a lucky one. HD streaming was getting progressively worse for me but SD was just fine.

Any who. Soon as the wife wakes up I'll do some HD streaming tests. My issues are:
* FF
* REW
* skip
* replay
* jump to end within the last 2-3 minutes of a program when coming out of FF, REW, skip, replay
* not starting at the beginning of the program

Doing some short testing with the QIP-2500 (it's connected to a capture card on my computer) play and pause functions are more responsive. FF, REW, skip, replay are slower to respond like doing the same with an VOD program.

edit:
With the QIP-2500, I still get the jump to end when coming out of FF, REW, skip or reply with 1-2 minutes left in the program. arrrrggg.

My God, you'd think Verizon would have tested all this before giving it out to anybody. What you mention above sounds like common software testing that would have been done.

Call me "useless" today. I didn't find the time to mess with HD streaming before being called into work early this morning. It will have to wait till tonight (PDT). Sorry guys/gals.

Any idea about VHO9 (VA)? We currently have the 6.86 Build.

Pardon me if this has been explained here before, but why is VZ unable (or unwilling) to push this to the nation all at once? If they want to do it to one or two areas as betas, and then to the whole nation at once, that would be one thing. But, with my TX boxes still showing "1.5.0" last time I looked, I'm getting pretty impatient with this dribble, dribble, dribble stuff.
