phone service

I'm a fios tech in central NJ, and it is possible you have a phone/phones that are not compatible with fios phone service. I have a complete list of phones, fax machines , and caller ID's that do not work with our system.. Send me a PM of your phone info.. brand, GHZ, etc... I've had issues like this as far as having choppy voice service, and echoeing... hope this helps..
