| Sounds like you have one of 3 things 1) Bad RF port on device 2) Bad adapter cable 3) Bad Antenna
There is some real crap being sold out there . Be careful who you buy from . I have never seen a 15DB magnetic mount antenna. -- www.MaximumSignal.Net |

| reply to brian1964 A: the gain is way too much. Unless you are literally on a hill and the tower's antennas are exactly level to your home, it won't work. 7-8dbi for an omni is plenty. B: the cable is seriously long and is probably junk even if it is rg-58.
try tilting the antenna on it's side, see if you get a signal then. If you do then that means the gain is way too high --

| reply to brian1964 Sorry that Cell gear stuff is dollar store junk . I have a 5 DB magmount that would blow that thing away . The price seems great but with that stuff you get what you pay for. I have seen other people with other products from them having the same results.

| It might increase your uploads to 130KBps, but not that antenna. That is junk too. I use this but I'm 6 miles away from mine. Unless you want to be mobile, you should look away from omni and instead go with a directional antenna. Either way you should return that one you bought. --

Max Signal Premium join:2008-03-07 Buffalo, NY | reply to brian1964 The arc antenna is a good product but you need a lot more punch with your current numbers. Yo need to look into a panel antenna or a Yagi . Maybe even consider an amplifier/antenna package -- www.MaximumSignal.Net |

| reply to brian1964 Email the seller . They seem to have good feedback . Tell them it does not work at all . They will probably work with you. Maybe they sell a yagi . Make sure it is the right frequency for Sprint 1900 mhz if they do have one. -- www.MaximumSignal.Net |

| reply to brian1964 Dear cellgear-usa,
Hi my name jimmie watkins i resently purchased a 15dbi external antenna from you:
Transaction id# 1F191XXXXXXXXXX
ITEM# 110285977629
Although the transaction went flawlessly an I would still highy recommend you and your products to anyone,,, trouble is when i plug your antenna into my card my signal drops 80%,,,made quite a few inquiries as to why this would happen,,,turns out the 15dbi is over loading my card so to draw more power and signal loss,, from what i have found out i need a Wilson yagi antenna frequency for Sprint 1900 mhz network ,,,is it possible exchange this for one of those ,,,if not is it possible to get a refund so i can buy 1
thanks in advance Jimmie |

| I don't see any yagi antennas listed by him, but if he will exchange for a Wilson brand 8dbi omni, I'd go for that. Their not as cheapy. And even if it didn't work for you, at least you have something that's name brand you can resell right?
But if you're getting a signal better than -85dbm a yagi would be overkill, but couldn't hurt. --
