I noticed that they got rid of the Gameboy Slot, which means that those of us with an original DS will still have to keep it around in order to play GB games.
Then, I noticed that we will be able to download games and store them either on the unit itself, or an SD memory card. This leads to interesting possibilities, since the days of carrying multiple cartridges(always annoying for easy travel) may soon be over if it works well enough.
I skipped the DS lite as it was far to skimpy and thin looking, besides which, my Regular DS worked perfectly and was reliable. But this might be worth the upgrade.
Anyone have any more news on how the down loadable games work? I'm surprised it took Nintendo this long to do. Imagine being able to download the Virtual Console lineup without having to wait instantly on the road, without ha ving to wait for a game to be released for the DS itself on cartridge. |
