| PAP2T half duplex?
My wife and I hae both noticed this problem. Whenever we try to interrupt someone or bascially get a word in edgewise, we cannot. It's driving us crazy as we both do a lot of phone conferences. The problem is not limited to conference calls, it happens on pretty much every call. It's just exacerbated by conferences.
This appears to me to be a problem wth the ATA, a PAP2T, firmware 3.1.15(ls). I looked over the full configuration and cannot see any setting that seems to affect this.
I have other VOIP phones in the house connected to * servers and they don't have this problem. It also does not seem to be a problem with the phones that we have connected to the PAP2T.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there a fix?

| reply to rjcarlson49 I've had this problem for years with my PAP2. I think you can either chalk it up to the limitations with the PAP2T adapter or Viatalk not being able to configure it correctly.
Since I have not used other VOIP providers with this adapter, I have nothing to compare to. Has anyone else experienced similar problems using the PAP2 with other providers? |

| reply to rjcarlson49 Do you actually have a PAP2T or a PAP2? The latest firmware for the PAP2 is 3.1.22(LS) which is the same numbering convention you said you had, while the latest version of the PAP2T is 5.1.6. If the label says you have a PAP2T, you should load the PAP2T firmware instead of the PAP2 firmware that is on there currently. Worth a shot anyway. |

| It's definitely a PAP2T as I said. It says so both in the UI and on the box.
Provisioning is ON. Firmware upgrade is enabled. Does this mean VT should be upgrading the box automatically? There is no "upgrade rule" defined.
Does VT have to take specific action? I don't see anyplace to force the update myself.

I would still like to hear from others who may have the problem or a fix.
Thanks, Bob |
