Re: Upgraded From ATT 1.5 to ATT 3.0 no change

Just like it might taken 8, 10, or 20 minutes to drive the same 5 mile stretch of road, so goes it with speed on the internet.

It's got a lot do to with who else is riding that part of the internet highway the same time as you are, and how big and heavy their load is.

The most reliable and regular test should be the AT&T speed test link at the top of the forum, but you can also click on it below as well.

I got 2581 on speedtest.net with 3meg dsl.

and 2512 with the www.dslreports.com flash tool

You may be able to get a little faster.

Do to TCP overhead that is the most you will get. Basically you take 85% of your sync rate 3008 and your top speed is basically 2556.8 is your best.

Sorry lev,

I had first posted in the North-East forums and I didn't see the FAQ on that page now that fourbox moved my post to Midwest I saw that. I read the FAQ link you gave me and it says in there about them giveing a due date but they have yet to give me a due date and it has been 5 days it still says in progress. It should not take this long to modify a profile.

I tried calling and received no help from Customer Service they just said I had to wait. That my speed would increase in 3-5 days.

MrFixitCT
Thank you for looking into it.

Known problem in our FAQ section. You may not have noticed, but your upload speed did increase.

you'll need to register in order to send private messages, then I'd ask you to send me the tel# and I'll check it out.. Must do this asap as after tomorrow I'll be unavailable for a few weeks..

@sbcglobal.net

Hello everyone,

I upgraded from ATT DSL Express 1.5 to Att DSL Pro 3.0 on September 27th it is now October 2nd and still have yet to see an increase on my speeds anyone else have this problem?

I tryed calling ATT and they said to give it 3 to 5 days but When I look at my order statis it looks just like it was when I ordered it dosen't even look like they have done anything. Would my hacked tcp file matter? I hacked it to alow 200 connections insted of windows defalt 10 connections.

If anyone has any ideas on what I should do please post a comment
