1 edit | Nextel Use To Be The Bomb I remember back in the day Nextel had perfect reception no problems connecting. Ever since Sprint bought them they made it crap! Say what you want, but I still think Sprint is garbage. |

Say what you want, but I still think Sprint is garbage. Haven't used Nextel since after the merger, but I can backup the fact that prior to that, Nextel was always maximum signal strength except in like metal buildings and some tunnels. Other than that, max. I never had to count bars to determine signal strength.
T-mo gets 2 bars in my apartment, zero bars in a metal building. Verizon gets 1-0 EVDO and 2 bars 1X in my apartment; haven't yet tested the metal building. Mind you, I live in a residential area that borders on one of the largest commercial districts in San Diego. I know if this were the old Nextel, I'd have no issues getting a signal. Seemed like Sprint was decent out here too (through my job) but I refuse to go back to them (had them for personal a long time ago). |
