What about idiots like me, who purchased it and have a valid license key, but just did a reformat and haven't downloaded the latest install file yet?  Sure, I should have kept a backup around, but I didn't have the latest version and wasn't expected the developer to abandon the product just as I'm transitioning to a new setup.
Tyler (the developer) has been great in the past (judging by his presence on the Techspansion forums). Hopefully he'll allow us to download the latest version.
This whole process of going out of business was done very poorly, IMHO. No notices, no provisions for users who need to re-download the latest version... very bad showing.

That really SUCKS. I have VisualHub and AudialHub, which are really awesome apps (worth every penny). I hate to see them not get developed anymore.
I agree that the developer should sell (or give) his code to someone else for future development. Too bad I don't know Objective-C.

you know this is ironic and tragic...Just yesterday I was looking into getting a free Mac compatible program to convert videos for my iPhone 3G and i had get work that this was the best. As you've all seen when I arrived at their website I found out it was discontinued....And so the search continues! |
