When I call my home number it takes about 10 seconds to ring

When I call my home number from any phone (my work, cell, etc.) it can take up to 10 seconds before the phone will start ringing at my house. When it does this, the phone at home does not show caller ID either.

So if I try to call my wife at home and I am at work....it will be dead silent for about 10 seconds. Then it will start ringing. However, my wife won't see the caller ID as it doesn't show up.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Do you have any issues/symptoms on outbound calls?

-Brendan

@xspedius.net
no - outbound calls seem to work just fine. There is a short delay when waiting for outbound calls to ring from the house....but nothing too bad. I usually just hit the # key.

Why not just call tech support?

I get tired of waiting in line or waiting to have them call me back...

I was just thinking that would be a shorter process than waiting for 4 days for an answer here.

Hi,

Is this a VT adapter or a BYOD? Also how is your home network set up currently? FYI the wait time for a callback right now is at about 13 minutes.

This is a VT adapter. I have a cable modem, connected to my belkin N router. The linksys VT adapter is connected to the router.
