| New DSL Dry connection questions
So,
I've had Comcast for quite sometime and finally got fed up with them when my service quit working and I received four different reasons from four different people and then they wanted to me wait ~2weeks for a service calls. Completely unacceptable. Anyway, Im in Houston and order the Elite package from AT&T on a Dry connection without a phone number.
Now, here is where my question begins, I use to have 2 phones terminated into my house for 2 business lines that I haven't had, one of those pairs is now in use for my brother's business phone line leaving one pair available. Im sure AT&T knows what they are doing but im assuming they will automatically activate the DSL on the other pair and basically I just need to connect the modem right?
Its been a while since I'd had DSL in general and it was when there was no such thing as "naked" DSL and you had to have a phone number to activate it on. Can anyone give me any info, also, generally how are people satisfied with AT&T here in the Houston area?
Thanks in advance. |

| i also have a dry dsl and all it takes is for the tech to install it. i remembered they hooked it up to an old line though i know that they can also install it even without an actual phone line. i m very satisfied with it and saves alot of money because i don't have to pay any phone bills a month! |
