I actived first one, after one day, VOD still no video. after I click D, I can hear sound. that's it. Call rep, send me to tech, said call me back 24 hourif they fix it, let's see. Active second, click VOD, nothing happen. need call again tomorrow. Did they test it before send out? |

| reply to jeff123 I am a former Boston RCN customer. We just switch to FIOS this week. When RCN did the digital transition, we got 2 new cable boxes. 1 digital and 1 HD about a month ago. I am unhappy with RCN's VOD. For one thing, none of their VOD shows are programmed in Closed Caption which is an important essential to my family. About a week and a half later, we lost the VOD on both cable boxes. My next door neighbor a, another RCN consumer also claimed to lose his VOD as well. My family relies on Closed Captioning and there are federal laws regarding this. I later learned that RCN refused to pay to have the VOD shows programmed with Closed Captioning. And I also learned that Comcast and Verizon has most of their VOD shows programmed with the Closed Captioning. To tell the truth, I do not know what is going on or why many of their consumers like you and I lost the VOD. I believe it is a problem on their end, not your end. In my opinion, RCN is sinking financially. They refused to lower the price on the same services they are offering to new customers for $99.00 a month (Phone, Internet, Cable) in which I am paying $150 a month. Your best bet is to leave RCN and try a different service provider. I strongly believe RCN is going under because of my experience with them such as refusing to lower the price, a minimum of a 40 minute wait when I call their 800 number plus charges if they have to send a techie out to my house even if the problem is not mine. Look into other avenues and good luck. |
