Anyone look at TV offerings lately?

I have 2-77 Standard Cable... most of which no one here would want to watch.
On the interwebs, I can search out and download/watch most things *we* would want to watch.

Utility? Uhm, no.
Ya can't compare HSI to a utility.
Utilities are metered.
While I wouldn't mind metered HSI, many of you might.

In that case, HSI is on the fast track to becoming a utility.

Cool by me!
$1.00 per GB... my bill would be $30-$35 per month!

Considering that Comcast has claimed that "most of our customers only use 2-3 GB per month" there is no way they would use a payscale like that. If anything, it would be $15 per gigabyte.

God forbid.

Naw, fees they tack on to TV and CDV, HSI is pretty straight-forward... so far.

$1 per gig is still likely over market value, but still not too bad because id be under 10 bucks some months. that said we all know most HSI providers would have their current monthly rate as the "line maintance fee" and then the per gig fee on top.

Realistic pricing would likely be something like a $40 base charge + $0.25-$0.50/GB.

but they're not going give you a base rate of $10 + usage like utilities are. they want the full $42 THEN usage!
