1 edit | Getting a line transferred to the cabinet, how hard is it?
As I mentioned in my thread »They dug, they layed PVC pipe, they poured concrete..., they will be putting one of those uVerse cabinets on my street.
How hard would it be to get my DSL serviced from that cabinet? Right now I have the Elite package and I'm only syncing at around 5 Mbps, or at least that's what speed tests say I get.
I know that AT&T is going to be offering a 10 Mbps package soon and I was thinking that I might get that or at least attempt to get my line serviced by the cabinet so that I can get speeds closer to the 6 Mbps that I should get.

| Assuming a VRAD is going on that spot, last I heard the best approach was to sign up for TV and internet, whichever package suits your fancy, and then cancel the TV and keep internet when it's most advantageous. For example some people were getting a cash back deal and then canceling right after they got the money or gift card or whatever.
You will lose DSL at the time they do the UVerse installation. Once it is switched over you will not have ADSL anymore. It will be VDSL and will require an RG instead of the ADSL modem that you have now. Uverse also provides higher upload speeds. -- USNG: 16TDN2870 Find your Lat-Long: Geocoder |

| It does have interleave but I would say it adds 10-15ms. From U-Verse line to dslr.
