Re: Dryloop problems I'm out in Redlands and I also switched from Verizon phone+DSL to DSLX dry-loop. The DSLX sales rep told me I would be without internet for no more than 4 days, but it was nearly 4 weeks in reality.
Verizon assigned a fake number pretty quickly, but they had to send someone out to string another wire from the telephone pole to my house.
Ultimately I had to do a little rewiring in the telephone line interface box on the side of the house (which Verizon should have done as part of the "provisioning" process but didn't). But it works quite well now and I'm saving a chunk of money every month. It's not an easy process by any stretch, but it is worth it in the end. |
