[WotLK] Craftable levelling gears for 70-80

I'm thinking of getting some craftable gears for levelling my toons up to 80 once the xp hits.

I had been looking up various craftable tanking items for my Warrior once he hits 70, but thinking about it why should I even bother? With all of the things I "have to do" before WotLK release, I won't really have the chance to instance on him, so tanking will likely just be able to be done with the quest items or lucky drops he gets.

So my question is, in your opinions, what would be some of the crafted gears I could save up cash for doing dailies, etc. to level with for the following toons:

Hunter (He's okay I guess with T4 and badges, but I guess if there are some pre-WotLK buy-able items that will last 'til say 73+ it would be worth getting them).
Warrior
Shaman
Druid

So far on the Hunter, BM spec sounds like the way to still for leveling, so the gear would probably revolve around being BM specced.

I prefer Fury on the Warrior for leveling, so his gear would probably be for that spec.

Enhancement has been the best leveling spec I've used on the Shaman (that or his present Elem/Enh spec, it was mainly for PvPing with but works nice for PvE too: »www.wow-tools.org/talent-calcula···00000000).

The Druid is still 40 or 41, but I plan to see if someone wants to do the Recruit A Friend and level to ~60 with another alt of mine (either playing the toon themselves - which is preferred - or with me) and get the Dr00d to 60, then hit 70 on him at some point. Feral seems the route to go there.

Any opinions? If you want to link gears, please use »www.getbuffed.com/ so I can see it at work too .

Edit: I had the wrong talent tree link for the Shaman.

Well, if getbuffed is somewhat up to date, here is what I have for the Warrior. If anyone is on Hyjal that can make any of this, or knows someone who can, let me know. I looked at rep gear I can grind while doing just dailies, and didn't look into anything such as instance grinding, or quest grinding rep, so as to make things faster:

Build: »www.wow-tools.org/talent-calcula···00000000

Crafted items:
Gyro-Balanced Khorium Destroyer: »www.getbuffed.com/?i=32756 ~1300g
Runic Hamme (x2)r: »www.getbuffed.com/?i=23544 ~3200g
Cloak of Darkness: »www.getbuffed.com/?i=33122 ~1400g
Red Belt of Battle: »www.getbuffed.com/?i=30032 ~1400g
Steelgrip Gauntlets: »www.getbuffed.com/?i=23533 ~1100g
Swiftsteel Bracers: »www.getbuffed.com/?i=32568 ~2800g
Swiftsteel Shoulders: »www.getbuffed.com/?i=32570 ~960g
Braided Eternium Chain: »www.getbuffed.com/?i=24114 ~36g
Total: ~12,200g

Daily reps to grind:
Ogri'la to Exalted: »www.getbuffed.com/?i=32648 & »www.getbuffed.com/?i=32645
Scryers to Revered: »www.getbuffed.com/?i=29134

just being honest here, the only items you linked for the warrior i would actually craft would be red belt of battle, and the cloak.
Everything else is not really good, and there are much better alternatives out there that wont cost an arm and a leg.
heres how i would do it:

ranged- distracting blades, heroic MGT
weapons- season 2, 2.6/2.6 speeds(2.6/1.5 would be ok if you dont have the honor for 2 18k weps)
gloves/bracer/shoulders- season 2/ vind
neck- sso pendant of might

the swiftsteel gear would be decent to craft, if and only if, you plan on leveling titans grip, and with that you need a shitload of + hit gear to make it decent.

personally, im going to be leveling deep arms, its the best of the dps trees currently.

Well my thing is not to have to run instances with the hopes of a drop, but to grind the honor/save money while doing it, and get a guranteed piece and not have to be worried about losing connection while on a run.

As far as Heroics go, there's no way someone will take my Warrior on a run with the gear he's likely to end up with at 70, unless I get very veyr lucky.

I *may* grind up some honor gear, but the BG grind with this lag is teethgrinding at best, always getting disconnected and losing honor hurts.

I know it's been talked about before, but would grinding the honor at 69 be ideal, or is the extra honor you get at 70 better?

you can replace the heroic drop with the season 2 thrown axe.
honor at 70 is worth it, what i do is get all the marks i need for an item 1st, then grind av till i get the honor i need.

when i play from wifi at work, ive been disco'd, and as long as i get in before the bg is over, i dont lose honor, because my "ghost session" of my toon is still in the bg, until you reconnect and kick it out.

i figured your warrior was already 70, thats how i based my suggestions. since we are so close to the xpac, may wanna focus on money and just use northrend leveling gear, rather than waste all that effort. pick up a few key pvp pieces(weps) and go from there.

Yeah after mulling it over I basically thought the same thing. The only thing that has me worried is seeing people posting that even Kara gear will last a few levels, so I didn't want to have to deal with the headache I had when I first hit OL on the Warrior:

He leveled so fast with the triple xp that his gear was still (*is* still in some cases), level 40 gear. I wasn't even able to kill a Felboar right when I got there at 59 until I bought some AH greens. He's doing okay now with the quest gears and some rep gears (the Thrallmar 1H axes), but it was no fun at first.

Maybe I'll see what all he's in at 70 before I worry about it.

You did not say it once, its almost everytime you refer to gear. Your own post from the reference site shows that when it relates to clothing and accessories it's gear not gears. Gears could be a verb or a multitude of the actual gears like the ones in a mechanical watch.

Why does it seem that most every post I have ever seen from you is nagging and nothing more? Troll much?

Anyhow, if you read again:

Gears is plural of gear in this case, same as it is when more than one gear is used in a machine, hence "the latest gear for teenagers".

Yay personal attacks, finally!

Just admit that you are wrong and be done with it. Gear cannot be plural when it refers to clothing or accessories.

And as far as my posts being cranky, play a feral druid you'll be cranky too.

I think in a forum like this, grammar and spelling should be instantly ruled out and not taken into account.

unless someone decides to start talking like the jackasses on the official forums "U r uber noobs LOLZ. L2 QQ more"

That is the most annoying shyt ever.

Make sure the troll there realizes this, even though he is still incorrect. Jesus, I shouldn't have even replied to him, I've helped to de-rail the actual intent of this post.

I asked a question, instead of answering you called me a troll twice, posted a reference.com article to support MY point, got jesus invoved in it for some reason and derailed your own thread to a point of uselessness, meanwhile providing me with endless amusement at work.

You're wrong here, and I'm only pointing this out because you've gone all off the deepend. Gears, as in the machinery parts, are separate than this usage, which is a collective plural. Of the definitions you've listed, the only one that uses "gears" is a transitive verb, not a noun.

Er...I'm confused.

Are you looking for a crafting profession to make you gears for leveling, as you level? Or are you looking for crafting professions/recipies to make you leveling gear *now*?

Personally, as much as I could pick up the killer SSC/TK, MH/BT, & Sunwell BoEs for my rogue...I'd think the money would do me much more good than the thousands of gold to upgrade my PvE gear over my PvP pieces.

On my server we're already starting to see the fire sale of crafted and boe epics before the expansion arrives.

Absolutely no one will pay more than 600g for any epic, no matter how much it used to sell for. Usually they go for a lot less.

If I was looking to gear up a lvl 70 toon from scratch for the purpose of lvling to 80, I'd either go the honor route (free) or wait to see if new lvl 70 patterns with really cheap mats appear with the expansion. It's quite possible that acceptable leveling gear will appear for 20-50g a piece.

Yup, you guys pretty much sold me, I'm just going to grind the honor and/or get the rep for the blue pieces for the 70-80 grind.
