| WB has been slower than dialup since Thursday
I've had WB since August 17th, and it's been mostly perfect till Thursday. It has routinely come in at 25 Kbps on testmy.net. Sometimes it'll shoot back up to 350, or 650, but a lot of the time it's slower than dial-up. It's acting as though I'm FAPed at those times, but I'm not. I'm only at 50%. A week ago I was at 64% and it was usually above 700 Kbps whenever I'd do a speed test. So what gives? Anyone else been unusually slow recently?
My beam is 133, and I'm on Duluth. If it's still doing this tomorrow, I'm calling WB. |

| Okay, so it hasn't reached dial-up speeds today. But I've kept track all day, and I'm wondering if this is normal? This is my first day really keeping track.

| reply to HeyHey From the data you posted it could be prime time slowdown. If it is prime time slowdown, the speeds should be quick on weekends and slow from about 5 pm to 10 pm on weekdays.
Beam 133 is a popular beam, but the complaints subsided early last spring. The inclement weather at Duluth, MN could be the cause.

| reply to HeyHey Wonder what file size you are using at testmy.net? Try the 3MB file size. The shorter ones have too much overhead relative to the file size to get an accurate reading. -- Anik F2 | WildBlue Pro Pak | Beam 37 | Laredo NOC | Since Nov 2005 |
