First, Proper way to do this is connect the two way splitter before the three way splitter, hook your modem to one side, and the three way splitter to the other side.

Secondly, a decent 2 way splitter will introduce ~ 3.5-4.0 dB loss in signal (depending on the frequency).

Finally, your best bet is to find out how to log into your modem and check the signal before you add the splitter in (feel free to post your findings here).

P.S. Just make sure you use a quality splitter and cables.

Two drops go to TVs and the other is for the internet. I just got a new PC in my office that came with a tv tuner. Can i just split my existing office coax and send it over to my pc for tv?
