i won't be touching it for another 25 years or so either...i put about $10,000 into it in March and i was a little concerned about how much i have lost this year...i called in and it has "only" dropped about 5%, so, compared to many other investments, it isn't doing too bad (i have a feeling my BMO stuff has dropped about 16% so far this year)...i feel better now...i was told when i purchased this fund that it is a very balanced fund that cushions itself in "tough times", so while it can drop, it doesn't drop nearly as much as other funds...during good times, it still offers a fairly decent return too (much more than the "low risk, safety funds" that are also quite common).

yea, my advisor said the best thing to do is hold it and let it ride its course...he also said, when things are down like this, it can be a very good time to put extra money in.
