But also confirm that your risk profile is still the same as it was last year or earlier. Our retirement mutual fund used to have a 60/40 split between GIC/Govt Bonds and stocks. Now it's 95% GIC/Govt Bonds. Those safe investments are the only reason that we're breaking even so far this year on rate of return. I expect the RoR to be around 2% by the end of the year.

Stocks will not return to their former levels for 2 years or more. In the meantime, I'll stick with the 3-4% guaranteed return on our current investments.

You and a bunch of people...I feel a bit better now just last week putting my money into a GIC vs a Mutual fund. It wasn't a lot...but take 10% off of $4000, and you're...left with a lot less...
