iphone

I wanted SO BADLY to hate the iphone and all the hype. Work keeps us on ATT here so over the years I've had the blackjack, blackjack 2, Q, and the Tilt (for a week). When iphone came out I said no keyboard? no exchange support? what a joke.

Anyhow along comes iphone 3g...and more importantly 2.0 software (exchange) and I won't look back. I had to get into my blackjack 2 the other day to pull some old files off and couldn't believe I ever used it, it's like looking at something from the 70's.

3g sucks on iphone, and from my use it IS mildly worse than was on my other phones. Non-issue as I turned it off for reliability and to save battery just like I did on all my other phones and to avoid any handover issues. I do wish att would get their 3g up to snuff, but I find I rarely use data (other than email) where I'm not around wifi.

Anyhow the thing is amazing. Do I wish I could swap batteries? yes. Do I wish it had a keyboard? surprisingly, no. I type 20-30 emails on it per day and probably 100-150 texts per day and I can confidently say I am just as fast as I was on any of the other smartphones.

iPhone has native exchange support unlike blackberries which use a warped patched together of outlook web access.

I never have problems with 3G in the pittsburgh area.... ohio on the other hand it sucks.

I'm not sure how you could swap a battery on this though and keep it so small.

I hated the virtual keyboard at first, then it grew on me a bit.
