What caused this and how do I fix it so I can defrag my HDs? |

Brockville, ON | Try the following to re-register the files for XP defrag:
Start > Run > regsvr32 dfrgsnap.dll
Start > Run > regsvr32 dfrgui.dll
Restart the computer (it may not be necessary to restart the computer) |

| Did you try reinstalling the application as listed in the link I posted?
"Try running the disk defragment again and it should work. If not, you can try re-installing the application by going to the C:\Windows\inf directory and locating a file called dfrg.inf. Right click that file and select Install and this will re-install the disk defragmenting tool."

No dice, I still get the error I posted in my opening post.
Edit: Saw the link finally. I'll try it and see.
