 | LOL Well, making the treaty vague won't make a difference when it comes to drafting legislation that may become law. Any law enacted that's overly broad and vague stands an excellent chance of getting struck down by the US Supreme Court. These guys know better; they just want to minimize public criticism of the treaty and then use the treaty obligations as an excuse to push bad legislation. Ultimately, they're not going to be able to avoid public criticism and lawsuits brought against any US law they introduce and pass if it is unconstitutionally vague and/or broad. |
