Being throttled with MLPPP?

Hi,

I have been noticing that my speeds are stuck at 30kBps up and down even though MLPPP is active and working. I'm noticing this since at least yesterday. I have tried changing my ports and using different Ubuntu torrents, but the performance is the same.

Has anyone noticed this yet?

Thanks.
Padenom.

Things to check/answer:

1) Are you using QoS?
2) How are you doing MLPPP?
3) How are you checking that MLPPP is active/working?
4) Did you cap upstream or downstream in your torrent app?
5) Did you try rebooting your modem?
6) Have you tried rebooting whatever device is doing MLPPP?
7) Can you post your line stats (perhaps your line stats took a nose dive)

I'm using Debian and pppoeconf with the regular settings which were working about 3 days ago. I don't know how to check if multilink is working (I still have the option in the config file) but it does seem that it is not as I'm being throttled and that overnight everything seems to finish downloading before I wake up. This wouldn't be possible if the speeds stayed at 30kBps.

Caps are at 60up/300down using rtorrent and that hasn't created any problem till date.

Will post other information later in the day.

Problem solved. Something went wrong with the connection and multilink ppp wasn't working. After changing almost every option possible, restarted the pppoe connection and it started working with proper speeds for BT.

Thanks.
