South Bend, IN | no file transfers I remember when I had Verizon years ago and every single phone whether it was a pda or not they turned off the OBEX file transfer feature so I couldn't even transfer my own person ringtones/pics from 1 phone to another. That way they could force me to pay for their lame 20 second(my call forward is always set to the max 30sec) ringtone again and their phones really suck for selection.
I'm not sure what their current policies are now but their phones still suck IMHO. I just looked up what they have now and the top of the line WM6.0 PDA is the freakin xv6800? Are you kidding me? If memory serves me right this is the same phone as the AT&T HTC 8525 that was available OVER 2 years ago and you can easily get for free now. Hell you can get the Tilt for free now which is a step up from the 8525 and Verizon still wants $349.99 for this phone with a 2yr contract? AS IF!!
What I like even better is Verizons fine print on bluetooth

Still the same old lame Verizon!! I can only speak for myself but I don't use my phone for business its all personal so if a call drops I just call the person back. I want the LATEST and GREATEST phone WITHOUT it being crippled. |
