[Vista] Automatic Restore Points Not Working

I am running Vista Premium SP1 with all of the latest updates and the "C" drive is set for auto restore points but none are being created.

Any suggestions, please

I think I may have found the answer...

"Make sure that the Volume Shadow Copy Service is Running and set on Automatic. If the Status of System Restore Service is not Started, Start it. Also set it on Automatic if it is not"

I checked and the VSS service is not running. I guess it is worth a try.

It looks like manual works on my machine. Restore works with Volume Shadow Copy Service set on manual.
