Re: Which Canadian city do you think is the most gay friendly? Again, I haven't been to the east coast since the 80's, but I'd be willing to assume that Moncton and Fredericton and Halifax would have statistically significant gay communities as much as the next town.
Chances are you'll find gay bashers in every community as well, but my experience has been that even small towners aren't as openly anti-gay as they might have been 20 years ago.
Let's face it. The odd white supremacist or anti-whatever hate crime tends to make national headlines in this country. While even those are few and far between, I honestly can't remember any journalistic coverage whatsoever concerning a gay bashing incident in the past 15 years... |
