 | [E-Mail] How to forward email from RCN?? Hi,
I went to the web email to turn on forwarding but there isn't an option for that. Went to help and it is supposed to be under the options for email but it isn't.
It's seems like it used to be.
Anyone know how this can be accomplished?
Thanks, Paul |

1 edit | It's not easy to find (or wasn't for me when I was digging around to set it up a few months ago), but . . .
options (upper right corner)-->message filters (under mail)-->new filter.
You should be able to figure it out from there (forward all to specific address). |
|
 | Great - thanks.
I never would have thought of that. Wonder why they removed a straight email forwarding option.
Thanks again, Paul |

It's been added to our forum FAQ:

 | reply to PH2000 I have mine setup differently,
1) Log into webmail.rcn.com
2) Mail Options (right side of the screen)
3) Select the Email Forwarding option
4) It'll ask you to log into USERTOOLS
5) Under advanced options, CHANGE MAIL FORWARDING SETTINGS
There you can set your forwarding options.
I'm sure there's advantages to each method, but i've used the one above for the last 4 years. Actually I get very little rcn email to begin with (have my own domain hosted elsewhere).
Joe any comments? -- Insanity is living in a state of disillusion. |

 | reply to jsolo1 You've got to love this:
If I go into the 'classic' version of the webmail then I have email options then mail forwarding, etc.
In the new version that does not exist - so you only get options, which is where the filtering is but not the email forwarding in the old version of the site.

 | reply to PH2000 Paul, you sure?
When I logged in, it automatically presented me with the 'new' version of webmail.
»usertools.rcn.com/
That's the direct URL to the usertools section. Lil', maybe add that too the faq too if it isn't in there somewhere? -- Insanity is living in a state of disillusion. |
|
 | When I use the new version - on the top right of the screen I have:
Video Mail, Options,Help, Signout. Nothing on the bar with the check mail button.

 | reply to PH2000 Here's what I see.

When clicking on email options, I see the following

Clicking on the forwarding options links me to the url I posted previously. -- Insanity is living in a state of disillusion. |
|
 | Yes - that's only wit the classic version.
I see this. |
