said by K3 :Initially..I paid $84.95/month when I had Blast, I would say the $100/month for 22/5 is reasonable for the speed and I would pay it since the only other competition in my area is 6/1 at&t dsl. Bring it on, I can't wait! Was $84.95 without cable TV? I figure since Blast! (16/2) is $59.95 in most markets, then 22/5 would fit nicely in the $70-$85 range, as the 6/2 is $42.95. These prices are with cable TV.. |

1 edit | Yes it was without cable tv, and no competition in my area like I said, that is the reason for the higher prices. I guess I should rephrase and say that $100 is reasonable in my market, $70-85 is reasonable for yours. Even with cable tv, in my area, the price was $67.95/month for 16/2 Blast |

join:2003-05-06 00000 | reply to Rob if prices are around $100 without cable tv thats really not appealing to people who can get 20/5 from Verizon for around 49.95-54.95.....for a whole 2mb more its really not worth the extra maybe 25-40 dollars more let alone the price for cable tv |

| reply to K3 this is a smart move. With incremental tiers, they can figure out how much people are willing to pay. They then can figure a truer deployment schedule (fiscally speaking) for DOCSIS 3. Once they figure what it will cost them, they then can formulate the additional "DOCSIS 3 deployment recovery fee" for their customers! -- The "Lifetime" channel is responsible for 83% of all divorces...Robert Ginty |
