<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/1528515"><b>Bytebender</b></A> : John A is correct.<br>The 6110 is a simple modem, (no internal router).<br>In windows, access the Command Prompt, <br>(hit Start > hit run > type cmd > hit enter - if using XP ; hit Start > choose all Programs > choose Accessories >right click the Command Prompt and choose run as Administrator  -  if using Vista)<br>and type ipconfig  /release<br>you should see that the IP address listed under Local Area Connection - Ethernet Adaptor is now 0.0.0.0<br>shut off the modem and connect the Linksys.<br>power on the modem, wait for solid DSL light, power on the Linksys, then the PC.<br>the Linksys should pick up the public IP and all should be well.<br><small>--<br>reboot, reset, reconfigure, then recycle.</small>]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/0"><b>anon</b></A> : Thanks but I don't think that's the problem - Verzion came out and installed the modem so I'm assuming they turned off the walled garden.  The modem works fine when connected directly to the computer.]]></description>
