|
 | I haven't seen or heard anything in the CFL region. Not yet anyway. |

 | reply to bobjohnson Same as it's always been for the standard account 6.7 to 7.01mbps here in DAB. Connection has been up and good with the only outage on 09-03-08. |
|
 | reply to bobjohnson Anyone with RR Turbo noticed any boost in speeds lately? |
|
 | reply to bobjohnson RR/Brighthouse holding steady here at 6Mpbs down/512Kbps up...would like more, since we were used to 15/2 with Verizon FIOS in Dallas, but RR has been good and reliable for us in Kissimmee...

 | Bright House has launched PowerBoost that will allow RR Turbo users to download up to 22Mbps in bursts. More info here: »www.mybrighthouse.com/newsroom/a···id=28928 |

 | According to the PR, it's for people with Turbo-level plans or above...no PowerBoost for us low-lifes on the basic 7Mbps or 768kbps budget tier plans. I don't think it's worth the $10 more per month ($120/year) for this or the extra 8Mbps of bandwidth. |

 | If You Believe This... |

Have a gander at this!
If you believe this powerboost crap, I've got some really good land here in Florida to sell ya... |

|
 | reply to Chris Berry That article states those in Tampa Region who get 20Mbps Turbo now get 30Mbps Power boost.
So much for those in Central Florida. As usual CFL is only hours behind Tampa test bed. |

1 edit | said by Surfinusa:said by BillyZoom:heh... move to a downtown area inside the fiber loop. What are you on a Fiber? Greenfield Products via: BHN? Naaa UUNET/Worldcom came into the City years ago about when Worldcom was about to go belly up and laid the "Fiber Loop" around the downtown area. It goes right underneath the sidewalk in front of where I live. At least all the different colored PVC conduits are there and with the Worldcom manhole covers. I've never seen anyone installing any fiber so don't know if it is actually in service but living in a mostly business area leaves me with nodes that aren't over populated plus the better service from being in a business area verse's residential. |
