Naaa UUNET/Worldcom came into the City years ago about when Worldcom was about to go belly up and laid the "Fiber Loop" around the downtown area. It goes right underneath the sidewalk in front of where I live. At least all the different colored PVC conduits are there and with the Worldcom manhole covers.
