Have you tried something like AVZ? It is a part of Kaspersky now, but as a stand alone tool, quite good. You can find a download in this link.

I couldn't find a built-in option to disable the system tray (currentversion/run) piece of it, but after unchecking it in autoruns, it hasn't come back. ;)
