| Issues, still...
Still having random drops with the service. Starting to think it cannot be fixed.
I noticed I keep getting some of the same error messages in the event log. |

| Horrid. Keep calling them out until they identify the source of the problem.

| reply to Rob2647 What has me guessing, is why none of the past 2 techs ever looked at the event log in the RG when you would think that would be one of the first things they would do. Both techs looked over the stats. The second tech reassured me this should not be happening. |

| reply to Rob2647 Hey folks, I'm working on a hunch here. I noticed every time in the RG event log there is a UDP Port Scan Detected the service cuts out. This would explain the Unknown inbound session stopped log entry that follows. Is this something the RG's firewall is doing to keep the RG from being hacked? Keep resetting the connection to prevent a possible hacker access?
Would it be worth while for me to have AT&T change my IP address? |

1 edit | reply to Rob2647 They dont need to look at the RG stats. There are more detailed ones they can pull from their own laptops.
If they change the RG, you will get a new IP. Maybe one of the people around here that works on the equipment facing the customer could answer the question about the RG rebooting, but I have never seen or heard of it doing that.
The RG's used to crash, back in the begining, because of a flood of messages from the firewall about session limits exceeded, then it would reboot, but that has been disabled. |

| reply to Rob2647 So the tech came out. I explained everything the other 2 previous techs have done. He puts in a ticket for a line tech to come out. The regular tech noted that RF interference from CFL bulbs could cause the RG to randomly reset. I almost laughed at the guy, cause it sounded highly unlikely.
Line tech cleaned up some wiring issues he noticed in the junction box 15 feet from the house. He stated I'm getting a very good signal, so wire length is definitely not an issue. So I'm hoping that this fixed the issues. |
