The Zyxel x-550, Most Trendnet Routers and Most Dlink Routers share the same firmware (with cosmetic modifications).

The PAP2T sees the line as being offhook, if you look at the status web-page or look at the syslog. My theory is that it has a problem sending the SIP Dial or communicating to the Proxy, so it can't get into a Dial state. Then it doesn't give dialtone.

Then again. .I was thinking about my transaction with Viatalk. I did unplug my PAP2T to make sure some new provisioning changes were downloaded. It could be that some memory registers or settings in the PAP2T were corrupted. I never unplugged it before then. I was just rebooting it within the software. The hard power reboot might have reset something? Maybe nothing to do with the Port forwarding?

anon : Hi! I am having this same problem, incoming call rings, I answer, there is no one there. Have to flash a few times then call connects. People on the other end still hear ringing while this is all going on. OR call comes in and my home answering machine picks up, no message is on my answering machine except some weird noises, caller on other end does not hear my answering machine, still hears ringing and is connected to Via Talk answering system. The Via Talk adapter is not recognizing that my phone is being picked up for some reason. I have the Pap2, provisioned, NY server. Router in DMZ, no SIP or SPI.
Any suggestions to fix myself or does a call need to be made to Via Talk?

Thanks!
