Re: Missing all email prior to 9/13/2008

It appears that my wife emptied the Migrated folder.

Thank you for the assistance Zak.

I've been using IMAP since 12/2007. I logged in to the old account and grabbed the emails and archived them locally so I had what I could.

Until this afternoon I had everything back to 12/2007 in the migrated account as well. Now everything prior to 9/13/2008 is gone.

Thank you for looking.

Hi kub326 -

Were you previously using IMAP? I checked the email on the new server and show that the oldest message in your Inbox was from 9/13/2008. I checked your Inbox on the old server and didn't see any messages. Is it possible that you were previously using POP and downloaded those messages locally?

Thanks

Missing all email prior to 9/13/2008

I have my client configured with IMAP/SMTP. As of today I don't have anything in my Inbox or Sent Items prior to 9/13/2008. Is there a retention limit for the Gmail servers?
