Cogeco does service some parts of Montreal, but most of the city is serviced by Videotron. That's what I had when I lived in Montreal. Videotron was alright, but I'd stick with DSL in Montreal.

By sticking with DSL, You mean that regular phone lines are still better than cable?

On the same token...I met with a tech from bell near Mont-Tremblant Quebec, where it is surrounded by forests and mountains. They've installed new towers to receive cell signals lately and the Optic Fiber is almost complete where we don't even can get the cable.

Wonder if the OF will drastically make changes.

Cogeco does not service ANY part of Montreal at all. The only cable provider are Vidéotron and VDN in small area. Idon't know what service you had then but it was NOT cogeco since it's no where near Montreal.
