Smith6612 I followed you instruction. I ran the speed test and the result is
Download speed - 87 kb/s (first it started from 120kb/s then it just drop down to 87
upload speed - 146 kb/s
I think the results are very odd. Whenever i download something, it is always between 10 KB/sec-25 KB/sec. Is there a ways to lower my upload speed since i never use it anyway, then increase my download speed.
Here's the result of my speed test: »www.speedtest.net/result/337227949.png
My computer: OS: Windows XP sp2 Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E4600 @ 2.40 GHz 2.40 GHz, 1 G of Ram Network Adapter - VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter
Thanks

1 edit | OK. Certainly the line that your ISP is giving you is not right. Have them check what package you're on and if your speed test show it. If not, have your ISP take a look to see what's going on. Otherwise, ideally, it's a good idea to log into your modem and check the line statistics or transceiver stats. It'll show a page with information such as the Margin/SNR, line attenuation, and sync rate. Check on that page before calling your ISP, and if you can, post up your modem's DSL line stats for us. The page should be found in the diagnostics or statistics part of your modem. |

@net.ph | I can't see the modem when i open the "phone and modem options" in Control Panel. It is blank. Is there a different way to check the line statistics and transceiver stats? |
